VIEWING At any time without appointment by prospective This wood was planted in 1968 with Norway spruce and Douglas fir and in 1985 with Douglas fir and Japanese larch, all of which are ready for thinning. This should enhance the capital value and improve the wood's capacity to attract wildlife. A modest amount of tax free income should be achieved and it will be an early opportunity for the purchaser to experience how beneficial thinning can be. Soils are fertile, well drained loams overlying Millstone Grit. The annual rainfall averages 40 inches. The wood is mainly sheltered by the surrounding territory and the land form is level to gently undulating. There is a small stream on the west boundary. The rural surroundings are outstanding even by Devon standards. Red deer are often seen in the pastures on the east side of the wood.
